About the Author

Elsa Beskow is Sweden's best-loved children's book illustrator, transporting her young readers back to an idyllic rural Sweden at the turn of the 20th century. Swedish children have grown up with her magical stories for over 100 years, and these classics have been translated into many languages. Inspired by her life and surroundings, Elsa's illustrations feature characters modelled on her sons, and her wonderful drawings of plants and flowers inspired by her wild garden just outside of Stockholm.
